Sew Sew is a parish of Milk project. Folk from the Parish and further a feild, were invited to join a weekly stitch club in Katie's Kitchen. The first run has seen 4 months of meetings bringing cheer, chat and community through Craft.

Community Participation project

A safe place was held for participants to freely communicate. Through stitching, storytelling, and collective making, participants came together to explore their personal and collective histories within the context of the parish. The work that emerged is both autobiographical and communal—an artwork of many hands and voices, sewn together into a shared surface of meaning.

The project was deeply moving, grounding, and transformative. It created space for slowing down, being present, and making something collectively—qualities often absent in fast-paced social systems.
The act of stitching alongside others fostered quiet solidarity; there were moments of laughter, silence, vulnerability, and mutual support. It felt like we weren’t just creating art—we were creating a fabric of belonging.
